Fáilte, welcome

Hello there. Welcome to Walking Boots Tours. My name is Maeve Kelly.

Maeve on the Blasket Islands, Dingle Peninusla, Kerry.

What do I offer?

I offer a tour with a difference, the chance to see Ireland accompanied by a passionate hiker – ME. Walking Boots Tours offer a personalised range of walking holidays in Ireland. Whether it’s in Connemara, on the Dingle Peninsula or in my native Donegal; I will be your guide. My friends sometimes join my tours. With their expertise in archaeology, ornithology and local history; they add a new dimension to our walks.  My tour groups range in size from a minimum of four people to a maximum of 14. We do not always follow a marked trail. Often we are the only walkers on the route. And all our hikes are chosen to suit someone with a good level of fitness.

This is no ordinary walking holiday.  Thanks to my background in horticulture and archaeology and my love of the outdoors, Walking Boots Tours offers you a whole lot more.

What happens on Walking Boots Tours?

A typical day’s hike takes four to five hours. The itineraries have been carefully planned and are based on my own favourite walks. All are set in stunning scenery: magical islands, breath-taking mountains and ancient historical sites.

I have handpicked the guesthouses we stay in. They are clean and comfortable, with a truly homely atmosphere. Each has its own charm and is testimony to a unique brand of Irish hospitality.

When hiking with Walking Boots Tours you will have a sense you are travelling with friends. Whether you wish to walk the ground of your Irish ancestors, hear melodious Irish music or learn of Irelands fascinating past, come join me and let me share with you my beautiful country.
