Insurance:
It is essential for everyone wanting to join the trip in September to have his or her own personnel insurance and to bring an E111 form from Ireland also as it will cover hospital visit etc. There will be insurance on your airline tickets included in the price but that just covers the flight. I recommend British Mountaineering Council insurance policy under the Trekking title. This will cover walking in Europe. You can find out information on this on their web site at www.thebmc.co.uk the cost of this insurance for 17 days is 28 sterling or for the year cover 94 sterling. You can book this online, by the telephone to 00-44-870-010-4878 or alternatively fill in the form I have enclosed and fax to the B.M.C. with the relevant amount.
Now it is important that you must be a paid member of the Mountaineering Council of Ireland but if not you can join the B.M.C. for 22.50 sterling to be able to avail of this insurance. This insurance procedure is quite common, as I had to do it while I traveled to Nepal with an Irish company two years ago and I found the B.M.C. to be excellent cover.
Please Note:
Walking Boots Tours and Maeve Kelly cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to your baggage, your illness or injury arising to anyone participating on this holiday. Outdoor pursuits and hill walking by their nature may be hazardous and involve risk. Therefore I recommend that you take out personnel accident and travel insurance. Everyone on this trip must be of a good level of fitness and health to fully enjoy and be prepared for and safe on this trip. You must also inform me of any past or current medical conditions or medication that you are on before the trip. Walking Boots Tours and Maeve Kelly cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage resulting from circumstances beyond our control.
I also recommend that everyone take note of the Gear list provided and the items listed; a personnel First Aid kit is essential.
I have read and agree to the terms & conditions of the walking tour as described above.
